This painting is part of my "Memories of Venice" series and I painted it from my own reference photo taken during one of my trips to Venice. This is the most humble door I had seen in Venice, but I was really attracted by the gorgeous shadows under the clothesline and the glorious colors reflected on the sunlit walls. A moment of exquisite tranquility!
